Automobile Engineering
The Department of Automobile Engineering offers a six semester course in Automobile Engineering that leads to a diploma in Automobile Engineering. Automobile Engineering Diploma holders have vast employment opportunities, ranging from lower to middle level management positions in automobile manufacturing units, vehicle component manufacturing companies, ancillary automobile units, garages, service centres, space science centre (VSSC), etc. They could fill the positions of service managers, motor vehicle inspectors (MVI), maintenance supervisors/managers, plant managers, marketing executives, scientific assistants, etc. As automobile manufacturing sector forms a sun rise area in the overall spectrum of our economic development, the employment opportunities for trained personnel have witnessed exponential growth over the years. The opening for higher studies and professional development are aplenty. A diploma holder in automobile engineering with 60% marks could go for B.Tech (Automobile/Mechanical) inside or outside the state.
- The reconditioning section is well equipped with Brake Drum lathe, Line Boring Machine, Engine Reboring machine, Honing Machine and Valve Refacer.
